ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sayer's work is widely acknowledged by Australian Art Galleries, Architects,
Interior Designers and International Trade Organisations.
Depicting objects, angles and illusive forms, at times slightly bizarre - offbeat - often puzzling,
always rich in colour, reflecting aliveness and guaranteeing the observer pleasure and amazement in their viewing.
Sayers brilliantly executed work, inspired by life experiences, incorporating design background and technical skills,
is described as contemporary hard line geometric abstract.
Using vigorous imagination, Sayers has incorporated into his most recent work, images in abstract form,
about or relating to either an illusional statement, location, story, lesson or just seeking the perfect image.
Focusing on an illusional topic, Sayers will design his original work by the use of coloured paper
on board cut precisely to create a collage and a technically perfect image.
Then pushing forward the boundaries of his work and imagination,
he transmutes the image by digitally adjusting, manipulating and improving to create a new statement,
location, story, lesson or perfect image - and a new piece.
The new original piece, taking on a life of its own with magnificent lines and rich colour - intensifying the story.
Born in Melbourne, Bill completed a course in Design at RMIT in 1969,
thereafter spending several years as a design draftsman and pursuing other business interests.
He took on the Project Management role in 1997 for the Hong Kong Convention Centre,
working with sculptor Michael Santry for twelve months to design, build and install a Michael Santry Sculpture,
commemorating the changeover of Hong Kong and handover back to the Chinese people.
